YOU Can’t Afford To Cut Essential Crane Maintenance
14th July 2009

Insurance inspectors have a duty to immediately report dangerous defects to the enforcing authorities

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR LIFTING OPERATIONS

Did you know? - BY LAW as an employer you are required to have all your lifting equipment examined on a regular basis by a ‘Competent Person'. You may already have this done by your insurance company but if their inspector carrying out your LOLER* examination were to find a
Category ‘A' defect (Immediately dangerous ) they are required by law to report you to the enforcing authority!

Failure to comply with these work regulations may result in fines and can be used against you by lawyers representing disgruntled employees. In most cases these are the same employees who call the local authority to request workplace inspections (7 out of 10 inspections or audits are due to employee complaints or following serious workplace accidents). Also PUWER** requires that you make sure machinery and equipment are maintained in a safe condition.

What Can Dales Do To Help You? - If you are in the NorthWest we can combine an essential maintenance contract, with work carried out by qualified engineers skilled in crane maintenance, with a pre-LOLER Inspection report outlining your conformance requirements. We can also provide Safe Use Training.
